Search for billing software and you'll see "lifetime", "one-time", "free forever", "₹ per month" and "AMC" used in different ways. They decide how much you really pay over five or ten years, so it's worth being clear about them. This page explains the common pricing models in plain words and then shows exactly how ValueSoft is priced.
One-time, subscription or AMC: what's the difference?
| Model | How you pay | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| One-time licence | Pay once for the software and keep using it. | What updates and support come with it, and for how long. |
| Subscription | Pay every month or year. Stop paying and the software usually stops working. | The yearly total, price rises at renewal, and whether you can export your data if you stop. |
| One-time + AMC | Pay once, then a yearly maintenance charge (AMC) for updates and support. | The AMC amount and what happens if you don't renew it. |
None of these is wrong. A subscription can suit a shop that wants a small monthly cost, and a one-time licence suits a business that bills every day for years. What matters is knowing the total cost and what keeps your software legal and working when GST rules change.

When you buy, our team activates the software, moves your data and trains you. Updates and support are free for the first year; from the second year there is a yearly AMC of ₹3,500 per user, which keeps the software updated for GST changes and your support going. You can upgrade your plan at any time, and the amount you've already paid is adjusted.
What about the mobile apps?
The apps are optional and priced per year: the eOwner app (reports and orders for the owner) from ₹4,000 a year, the eRetail app (your retailers order from their phones) from ₹2,000 a year, and web access from ₹3,500 a year, all GST included. You don't need any of them to bill, keep stock or file GST from the desktop software.
Which plan fits your business?
- Mini, Lite or Plus if your monthly billing stays within ₹2.5 lakh, ₹5 lakh or ₹7.5 lakh. All three include GST reports, accounting, outstanding reports, Auto GSTR-2 reconciliation, credit/debit notes, Email/SMS/WhatsApp, and E-Way Bill and e-Invoice.
- Basic if you need unlimited billing but keep your accounts and GST returns elsewhere. Basic excludes GST reports, accounting, e-Invoice and E-Way Bill.
- Max if you need unlimited billing with everything: the right choice for most distributors and wholesalers.

What does a one-time price save over five years?
A simple way to compare any two offers: add up what you'd pay over five years. For one user on ValueSoft Plus, that is ₹9,200 once plus four years of AMC at ₹3,500, or ₹23,200 over five years. As an example only, a subscription of ₹500 a month would cost ₹30,000 over the same five years (before any price rise). Do the same sum with the real prices of the products you're comparing, including every yearly charge.
Questions to ask before buying any "lifetime" billing software
Will it keep up with GST changes?
GST rates, e-invoice rules and return formats change. Ask how updates reach you and what they cost.
What support is included?
Phone, WhatsApp, remote help, training: and for how long.
Are there billing or user limits?
Cheaper plans often limit bills per month or users. Check the plan you'd actually need in two years.
Can I get my data out?
You should be able to export bills, reports and GST data (ValueSoft exports to Excel, PDF, JSON and Tally).
Who moves my old data?
With ValueSoft, our team moves your masters and old bills from Marg, Tally or Busy.
