What problem does a field sales app solve?
Distributors who still take orders on paper usually describe the same three problems:
- "My salesman writes orders in a diary and reads them out on the phone at night." Orders get misheard or missed, and the shop gets the wrong goods or none at all.
- "He promises stock we don't have." Without stock in his hand, a salesman can't tell a retailer whether an item, or a fresh batch of it, is available.
- "He doesn't know which shop owes us money." Collections slip when the person standing at the counter can't see the party's outstanding.
The CSR App puts stock, schemes and the party's ledger on the salesman's phone, and the order he books goes straight into ValueSoft.
What can salesmen do in the CSR App?
Book party-wise orders
Pick the shop from the customer list and book its order with scheme and discount.
See live stock, batch and expiry
Check stock with batch and expiry information before promising goods.
Check ledger and outstanding
Open the customer's ledger and outstanding at a glance, and follow up on dues.
Product-wise sale statements
See product-wise sale statements and reports, including the sale statement for a company's products.
Share invoices
Share invoices with customers from the app.
Call the party
Call a customer from inside the app when an order or a collection needs a word.
The app fits any trade where salesmen visit shops. Our CSR App page names pharma distributors, FMCG stockists, auto parts dealers and electrical wholesalers. It also suits a company's MR (medical representative) or sales executive who needs the sale statement of that company's products.
How does order booking work with ValueSoft?
Install the CSR App
Download the CSR App from Google Play on the salesman's Android phone.
Connect it to your ValueSoft
Our team helps you set it up with your ValueSoft company. The app reads and writes your ValueSoft data, so ValueSoft must be running for your business.
Salesman gets fresh party and product data
The app downloads product and customer data from Kala Softech's server, so the salesman has your party list and products in hand.
Check stock before promising
At the shop, the salesman checks live stock with batch and expiry details, so he doesn't promise goods you don't have.
Book the order with the scheme
He books a party-wise order with the scheme and discount on it. See scheme management for the scheme types ValueSoft handles.
Check dues before leaving
He opens the party's ledger and outstanding and reminds the shop about pending bills.
The order reaches the office
The app sends the order through Kala Softech's server to ValueSoft. Nobody re-types it: it goes straight into billing.
Bill, dispatch and review
ValueSoft's dispatch flow runs from order printing to arranging goods, bill audit, packing and delivery. The loading sheet (salesman-wise sale summary) and salesman-wise outstanding show each salesman's work.

What does the office see when orders come in?
A salesman app is only half the job. The other half is what your office does with the orders, and that part runs in ValueSoft on your computer:
- Salesman-wise billing. Bill salesman-wise, so sales and dues can be seen salesman by salesman.
- Loading sheet. A salesman-wise sale summary. Our Hindi tutorial video on primary and secondary units in FMCG trade also covers the loading sheet.
- Dispatch flow. Order printing, arranging goods, bill audit, packing and delivery, with order status visible to staff and customers in the software and the mobile app.
- Outstanding by salesman and area. Salesman-wise outstanding and area-wise customer outstanding show who needs a follow-up visit.
- Sale analysis. Area-wise, salesman-wise and product-wise sale statements, plus a party performance report of active and inactive parties with their rise or fall.
The party performance report is useful for planning a salesman's beat (the round of shops he visits): shops that have gone inactive show up in it, so the salesman knows where to go first.
What should you check before choosing a salesman app?
Whichever app you look at, ask these questions in the demo. Here is how ValueSoft answers them.
- Does the order reach billing without re-typing? Yes. CSR App orders go straight into billing in ValueSoft.
- Can the salesman see stock with batch and expiry? Yes, live stock with batch and expiry information.
- Can he see what the shop owes? Yes, the customer's ledger and outstanding.
- Do the schemes on the order match the office? Orders are booked with scheme and discount, and the same order is billed in ValueSoft.
- Where does the data travel? Through Kala Softech's server, between the phone and your ValueSoft.
- Is the price clear? eOwner and eRetail prices are on our pricing page. The CSR App's price is given on request, so ask for it in writing during the demo.
Which ValueSoft app should take the order?
ValueSoft has three Android apps, and orders can come in through more than one of them. Choose by who places the order. For example, salesmen can use the CSR App for the shops they visit, while retailers who prefer to order on their own use the eRetail App.
| Who places the order | App | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Your field salesman | CSR App | Party-wise orders with scheme and discount, live stock with batch and expiry, customer ledger and outstanding |
| You, the owner, or a salesman ID you create | eOwner App | Sales, stock, ledgers and outstanding; create salesman IDs and track salesmen; bills are generated automatically from orders taken on it |
| Your retailer, on his own | eRetail App | The shop places orders from its phone 24×7, checks its outstanding and downloads invoices |
How much does a salesman app cost?
The CSR App's price is not published on our pricing page. Press "See Pricing" on the CSR App page or book a demo, and our team will call you back with the details.
If you would rather take orders through the eOwner App or let retailers order on the eRetail App, these yearly plans (GST included) include ordering:
| App plan | Price | Ordering feature |
|---|---|---|
| Owner Starter | ₹4,000 / year | Order Access |

If more than one person in your office will use the eOwner App, note that Multi-User Support is in Owner Plus and Owner Pro Max, and Owner Pro Max adds browser access. The app plans are yearly. ValueSoft desktop software is a separate one-time purchase, with updates and support free for the first year and a yearly AMC (annual maintenance contract) of ₹3,500 per user from the second year. See the pricing page for desktop plans.
Where does the order data go?
The CSR, eOwner and eRetail apps exchange data with ValueSoft through Kala Softech's server. That is how an order booked in a market reaches the ValueSoft computer in your office. The app needs an internet connection to upload orders and download fresh data.
The CSR App privacy policy lists the phone permissions the app asks for and why, for example the call permission that lets a salesman phone a party from the app.
